Our Team
Leah Kaithern is the Owner, Founding Partner and the Chief Executive Officer for EcoGrit. She brings a wealth of experience in executive leadership, team-building, operations, and business development.
Throughout her career Leah has thrived across a diverse range of industries through leading operational overhauls, providing business consulting services, and supporting start-up launches.
Leah has led the openings of 10 restaurants from conception to launch throughout New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C., and has managed operations up to $22 million a year. Zagat recognized her professional achievements when she was honored as a “trailblazer helping define the next wave” in their New York City 30 Under 30 class of 2012.
Through owning and operating EcoGrit, Leah is committed to cultivating a company culture that enriches both its employees and its clients while making a tangible, positive impact on the environment. Leah firmly believes that work done with integrity and a servant’s heart honors God and creates lasting success.
Asher Kaithern is a Founding Partner and the Chief Financial Officer for EcoGrit. He brings a balanced and versatile skill set to the team with his experience in government relations, corporate communications and heavy equipment operation.
A southern New Jersey native, Asher graduated from Ramapo College with a degree in Political Science and Government. From there he went on to Washington D.C., where he connected Members of Congress with Fortune 500 company leaders domestically and internationally to enact various policy.
Asher has also worked with Northeast Precast as a heavy equipment operator, supporting their site expansion and earth work operations. He has also served as a demolition expert with Anthony Excavating and Demolition. Asher believes in leading by example, ensuring that EcoGrit’s reputation is built on trust, consistency, and a commitment to always doing the right thing.
William (Billy) Griscom is a Founding Partner and the Chief Operating Officer for EcoGrit. Billy is a highly skilled operations leader with deep expertise in safety and site management. His ability to solve complex water and land-based challenges efficiently has positioned EcoGrit as a premier dredging operation. The Grit in EcoGrit Comes from Billy’s nickname – Billy Grit
Billy believes in giving 100% every day, no matter the job. His approach to leadership is simple: work hard, stay focused, and always strive to be the best at what you do. He sets the tone for the team by leading with action—working alongside his crew, and ensuring that every project is completed with precision and pride. His relentless work ethic and hands-on approach define EcoGrit’s culture of excellence.
